About The Event
The Mid-States Regional Astronomical League Conference is being hosted by the Omaha Astronomical Society for 2024. The event will be at Eugene T Mahoney State Park near Ashland, Nebraska off Interstate 80 exit 426.
A Nebraska Game and Parks Permit is required to enter Mahoney State Park. If you are a non-resident of the state of Nebraska, we are working to have a list of out of town folks at the gate to get you into the park. Nebraska residents, please pick up a Nebraska Game and Parks Permit online or any of the local offices that sell them.

Friday, June 7th:
Registration will be open in the lodge from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM. The Friday Star-B-Q Dinner will take place at the Bur Oak Picnic Shelter inside the park, featuring a taco bar catered by OAS members. Following dinner, there will be a Star Party at the John R. Lauritzen Golf Driving Range.
Saturday, June 8th:
The day begins with the business meeting, followed by presentations, lunch, then more presentations.
Keynote dinner will be in the evening at 7 PM. The dinner is catered by Parkers Smokehouse.
Sunday, June 9th:
Sunday is an abbreviated day, with a couple presentations and closing by 12 Noon.

Lodging
Eugene T. Mahoney Lodge has a number of rooms which are at the venue itself. Unfortunately, due to renovations, they will not be available at the time of the conference.
Camping Options
Mahoney State Park has many tent and RV campsites available if you’d like to sleep under the stars. You can check availability at Reserve America. These sites go quickly so reserve early to guarantee yourself a spot.
Additional campsites are available at nearby Platte River State Park.
